Honestly I could care less about getting detention... it could be worse, and at least that way you felt as though you had done something to protect yourself. In America if you defend yourself you do not get in trouble so the system seems a little strange for you guys...(actually the aggressor barely gets in trouble as well these days) Where I live if that had happened the kid would have been suspended for about a week and you would have gotten off scot free, so how the hell your school system works... I don't know, seems rather pathetic to me that not even defending yourself got you the same punishment!

lol, it sucks doesnt it... most of our teachers are all losers, exept for a few. Mr. Lessgarten my Physics teacher was amazing, all we do is just mess around: we don't learn a thing! But he has left now, and we will have a new teacher when we go back next term. There was a teacher before Mr. Lissgarten, Mr. Youngsen: all he would say was " I will have silence! " in his strong Northen English accent: we all used to tease him.
